Borneo & Sangalaki
The near mythical Island of Borneo invokes images of pristine jungle and untouched islands. Indeed the warm and often crystal clear waters surrounding Borneo are home to kilometers of pristine white-sand beach, some of the best dive locations in the world and many islands that have yet to be fully explored. As the tropical seas hold unparalleled biodiversity underwater so too do the rainforests and jungle on land.
With paradise islands such as Sipadan, Sangalaki and the Derawan islands, it is all too easy to loose yourself in time. The beauty of such islands is awesome, the nature that surrounds and engulfs them alluring, and the feeling of intense wonder and peace overwhelming.
Mainland Borneo is equally tantalising. The vast range of natural, cultural and historical adventures is superb. Entering rivers Raja Laut can explore prehistoric jungle, and at stop off points visit tribes and cultures that have until this day remained faithful to their ancestral traditions.
